For my Audio Project, I created a podcast on which I recited a Hawaiian creation legend. My seventh grade students study Greek Mythology in ELA, and to supplement (and for cultural relevancy), I have added Hawaiian legend in the past. I used the Audacity program to record my voice, and to mix it with various nature sounds and music that I downloaded from sites like freesound.org, jamendo.com, and fws.gov. I played around with fading, adjusting volume, etc. It was hard at first, but the program is pretty user-friendly, and very useful!
The music in the beginning is a ukulele track downloaded from Jamendo.com.
The waves, and breath sounds were downloaded from freesound.org.
The birds and coqui frogs were downloaded from fws.gov
