Happy New Year to Everybody. Another new year has arrived with new hopes, new plans and new targets. My plan this year is to start attempting semi classicals which I am starting today with a song of Manna De. My usual passion of converting bangla song to hindi will remain, so the very first attempt of the year contains a hindi-bangla combination also. Hope you will get the glimpse of bangla lyrics. Here the poet is seeing his lover in the Moon.

Song: O chand samle rakho Jochona ke
Lyrics: Pulak Bandhopadhya
Music: Manna De
original: Manna De

Original song ref: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeISaQoHHWU

Hindi Lyrics:

O chand samvalke rakho chandni ko
Buda nazar lag sakta
Diwana megh benami khat haoya mein vej sakta

Jagmag na nahi tumhari wo komal jyoti
Jada haseen hone se sabdhan toh honai padti
Urni se wohi chandra muh ghake rakho
Nahi dikhlao puri khubsurti ko

Thada hi raat hua avi issrup jalne se
Adhi raat ko sara asman alega teri aag se
Uss mouke mein tum vi chori jaoge
Kaun milega banchane tab tumko

Bangla lyrics with translation

O chand samle rakho jochhona (chandi) ke
[O Moon, take care of your moonlight]
Karo najar lagte pare
[Someone can make bad stare]
Meghe der udo chithi udeo toh aste pare
[Un-named letters from clouds may also come flying]

Jhalmal korio nago tomar oi ato aalo
[Do not glare your light so much]
Besi rup hole pade sabdhane thakai valo
[When your beauty is so much, you better be cautious]
Mukher oi orna ta ke ektu rakho
[Please place your Urni properly on your face]
khulo na ko dohai ekebare
[Please do not remove it completely]

Ei sabe raat hoyehhe
[Night has just started]
Ekhan i emon hole
[if you become so glaring by now]
Majh raate akash ta te jabe je agun jole
[in the mid-night, whole sky will catch fire]
Sei phanke tumio kakhon churi jabe
[In that opportunity, someone may steal you]
Kake pabe banchaate tomare
[whom will you get to save you?]
