This week again I am bringing in a song which has two versions in hindi and bengali. Bangla song was sung by R D Burman in his Durga pija time release in a basic disk. Kishore Kumar song is a very popular film song from Anamika 1973. I have punched in a single song so that you need not comment in two places. Hope you will enjoy.

Song : Meri Bheegi Bheegi Si -Singer: Kishore Kumar
Mone Pare Rubi Ray - Singer: R D Burman
Lyrics: Mazrooh Sultanpuri (Hindi)
Sachn Bhowmik (bangla)
Music: R D Burman

Bengali Lyrics:

Mone pare Rubi Ray (I remember,Rubi Roy)
Kabitay tomake ekdin kato kore dekhechi
[Once I saw you so many times in poetry]
Aaj hay Rubi Ray deke bala amaketomake kothay jeno dekhechi
[Alas, today you call me to say that
you faintly remember to see me somewhere]

Rod jala dupure [At nooon under burning Sun]
Sur tule nupure [Playing a tune in your anklet]
Bus theke tumi jabe namte [when you get down from a bus]
Ekti kishore chele eka keno danriye
[why a young boy is standing at the bus stand,]
Kono din se katha ki vabte [Have you ever thought about that?]

Deep jala sandhay [When the evening lights are on]
Hridayer janalay [in the window of heart]
Kannar khancha sudhu rekhechi [I kept a cage of tears]
O pakhi se to aseni [Alas, the bird has not come]
Tumi valobaso ni [you have not loved me]
Swapner jaal britha bunechi [I knitted futile net of dreams]
