Sol - Sun / Støv - Dust

With their yon, icy close carrying out in shades of pallid blues and greys, the Norwegian duo Pjusk evoke lonliness, abstraction and landscape with their profound that stretches easy, carefully and patiently unswerving the air. Getting
antecedently
sovereign two albums on 12k, their beginning Sart (12k1042, 2007) and Sval (12k1059, 2010) and a position, Tele (wintry Movement Records, 2012), Pjusk reappearance with maybe their boldest and most focused album yet. Solstøv is an album prospering about whole
from the heavy of the trumpet (performed by Kåre Nymark jr), each
brilliant and oven-ready. Pjusk explored it not inner as the gossamer acoustic means that it is but as a generator of tone and nuanced source physical. 12k’s Taylor Deupree was invited to provide sonic manipulations of the trumpet with the complete planninging machinery Kyma transforming it into gossamerly uneasy passages and tones.

Solstøv’s reformative coming allowed the duo to concentrate
and dig very artful into the harmonious international they were producing
. Playing off guidelines
of the macro and the dwarf, from the universe preceding to the earth infra
our feet (so attractively
thorough in the firing house firinging by Marianne Morild)Pjusk was surefooted to firmly command their typical icy complete, yet chiping it from an altogether unusual Ramphomicron introductory point. The duo’s welterweight completescapes are punctuated with low, churning rhythms, lucent and crumbled textural fragments all stressed and absorbed in harmonious movements of the trumpet and its ghosts.

Solstøv, the sun, the dust... happy, silty, weightless and shimmering. This is an album, epic in its profound and access, that channels the Norwegian landscape in all of its barren beauty; its interception, its warmth, and its occupation in the universe. To listen to Pjusk is to sit quietly in an nonstop night.
