The number of graduate applicants per position has more than tripled in the past two years. In the situation of the significantly smaller number positions made untakenin the marketplace, and alsothe number of redundancy figuressince the economic downturn, universities appear as if creating an ever growing number of graduates without investing any useful or practical training skills in preparation for recruitment. Should universities be concentrating less on academia and more on making their students employable?
