Today we're talking about irrational, and totally rational, hatreds. First up, in this episode of Microphone in the Middle, we're going to be talking about our own little manifestations of hate – in a good intentioned, happy, pleasant sort of way. These are our stories.

HANNAH GARRARD: There are entire industries devoted to craft when people could be finding cures for cancer, or AIDs, or making wooden legs for people who don't have legs. Instead they're just making craft.

SASHA KOHAN: It comes along this time a year, every year, that if you say 'Pumpkin Spice Latte' three times into a mirror, a white girl with white yoga pants will appear and tell you her three favorite things about Fall.

FAYE HOLDER: I kind of pass it off in a jokey way, like, 'Oh the sink is filled again.' But I mean it.
