(1) Theagarajan Dhanapalan@Theagu-bro is someone I came in contact with through Yourlisten. Very soon, we realized we share quite similar tastes in the genre of music. When I learnt that this person is also working & residing in Qatar, bohat khush hoon main:-)
(2) We talked about doing a Tamil duet in our very first meeting. We selected a few & concluded that this old song from the Shivaji Ganesan starrer would be a good start as I was also quite familiar with it.
(3) This has been in the pipeline for some time but like they say, “success is sweet & sweeter if long delayed & gotten through many struggles & defeats”. I have no words to describe as to how he worked on the mixing of this despite having plenty of obstacles & time constraints. For example, the devastating floods in his hometown, Chennai was one of them. I know that mixing this one did not come easy for him as part of my vocals were not in sync with the karaoke track. No surprises as I am known for missing taals frequently…….he had to also make adjustments to match the db of my vocals with his. Yet, his undying passion & dedication towards music, sincerity in his work & regard for me drove him to complete this Project with utmost professionalism.
(4) We have 2 versions of this song – one with Theagu-bro covering P.B. Srinivas & me covering T.M. Soundararajan & the other, vice-versa. I am uploading the version in which Theagu-bro has covered P.B. Srinivas (first male vocals) & I have covered T.M.S. (second male vocals). Perhaps, another time, I will upload the other version.
(5) This is a very sad song with soulful lyrics (pardon me for not being able to attach a translation script) & I do not want to take away too much of anyone’s time to describe the situation for the creation of this song.
