Special Note : My very first attempt of this beautiful Rafi song from the great Dilip Kumar starrer "Aadmi" - trust me, it was tough & I know there are imperfections here & there especially the sudden switch to a high pitch. For some reason, I had not listened to this song much but in the last couple of days, just listening & also making the attempt to sing was an experience in itself - everytime I sing a Rafi number, I have this question on my mind - how can anyone say that Kishore was better (popularity notwithstanding) although Kishore remains my idol till today. Again, the point is when you sing a Kishore track, the same question appears - how could anyone say Rafi was better?? Conclusion - no one was better than the other. They were just good by their own standards. What an era in Hindi film music?
