God's Deliverance
John 10:10 tells us the thief (the devil) ONLY comes to steal
Isaiah 5:20 says “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
1 John 5:19 tells us “we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness”.
Psalm 18 starts off with “The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower”.
We are delivered - not rescued
2 Corinthians 1:10 says “He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, “
John 17:15 Jesus prayed “My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one”.
Ephesians 6:10 tells us to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
In Romans 7:21 The Apostle Paul sets out to do the right thing but evil is right there with him.
In ‘The Lord’s Prayer’ (Matthew 6:9) we ask God to deliver us from the evil one.
