Ghanaian Christians& Muslims Must Continue Living in PeaceI spoke as guest speaker at the 9th Annual UDS GMSA Congress on Friday on the topic – “ISLAM IN THE 21ST CENTURY: THE ROLE OF MUSLIM YOUTH IN COMBATING EXTREMISM AND RADICALISM FOR POLITICAL STABILITY”
I cautioned Ghanaian Muslims to be on guard against extremists and their influence and appealed to the Muslim Community to shun all divisions and continue to coexist peacefully with the majority Christian population as it is the only way to guarantee the stability of the Nation.
I explained that Islam itself is very tolerant of Christianity and mentioned the need to follow the example of our National Chief Imam and to continue to work to sustain the peace and co-existence between the two faiths. Kindly Listen

Black Stars Story: Only Competence Delivers ResultsDr. Bawumia presents an alternative view of the Black Stars story presented by the President during the 2015 State of the Nation Address. Dr. Bawumia in his illustration focuses on the critical factors that determine the performance of any team and says only a competent team can deliver good results while a mediocre team will always deliver mediocre results.
“Our Black Stars can be used as a benchmark for us to look up to because we have a Black Star team made up of competent players in their own right. Competent players deliver results. A mediocre team will give you only mediocre results no matter the hope you have in them.
Teams don’t win just on the basis of hope. If a team has a coach who is not good and players who are not good, disciplined and committed, then of course everyone would be justified to be cynical about the chances of that team.”, he said.
Dr. Bawumia was speaking to students of the Wa Campus of the University of Development Studies on Saturday, 28th February, 2015.

Dr Bawumia on the government's false claims on borrowing Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice-Presidential candidate to Nana Akufo-Addo explains why it is false for the NDC to claim that it has only borrowed 17billion dollars and not 27billion as the facts show.
He explains, "If you borrow GHC100 today, it would mean that you have borrowed the equivalent of $100 dollars and you should be able to do projects worth $100. If in a few years the exchange rate depreciates to 3 cedis to one dollar, then the 100 cedis you borrowed a few years ago would be worth some $33. This does not however mean that you did not borrow the equivalent of a $100 dollars initially and we should expect to see a $100 worth of projects. You cannot suddenly claim that you actually borrowed $33 a few years ago and so you are only to account for $33 worth of projects. Using current exchange rates in determining the equivalent amount borrowed is misleading because it ignores the value of the debt at the time it was borrowed."
