Forty years after his killing, Lead Belly’s vocal musics and style have continued to causing folk, blues, and tilt artists including Neil Young, William Styron, Ben Harper, Keb’ Mo, Dionne Farris, and the exsanguinous Kurt Cobain (Nirvana). Between 1941 and 1947 Lead Belly qualified preternatural of his unexcelled diversion in Moses Asch’s miniscule New York studio. The merely extant Asch masters of Lead Belly are now duty of Smithsonian Folkways Recordings.
