Designed for attentive and creative listening, guys. The composition is very experimental in a way. I want your talent to fill in and discover this music.

I love impressionists (that's why Claude Monet is on cover) and wanted to explore the same Impressionism in music. There is no single apring, all shorter strokes and drops. Rather hues and hints. The Shadows if you will :) The Dark Shadow on Bright. Or The Shadows of Bright? :) Hope you enjoy this somewhat risky experiment :)

Happy and honored to get intimate with Mrinal's music. Here is what I heard myself and was inspired to play over the blissful original:

Other challenge, I indulged myself was to make this SYNTH-phony, using only MOOG sounds. It was so tempting to play guitar or strings or flute. I wanted to stay focus and pay my respect to the brilliant Mrinal's "Symphony of Strings" series. I played my favorite Arturia MiniMoog, Moog Modular, and AniMoog. Otherwise one piano, percussion made in Korg Gadget, produced in Ableton Live 9 with IK Multimedia mastering tools. Why Moog is here :) I extracted this quote from Robert Moog, greatly respected engineer and artist of sound, from his interview available on YouTube:

"It is something between discovering and witnessing" - Robert Moog

Some parts, like the wobbly/slides/something sounds you can distinctly hear in the into, I played by hand and ear on AniMoog. This is the iPad app invented by Moog Foundation. You slide over iPad surface to design and create unique vibes and sound colors. I know, if there is someone thinking to "throw a rock" at the iPad musicians, please prepare 100X bigger one for maestro Jean-Michael Jarre, he-he :D I'm not placing myself anywhere close, of course, but was so excited, after played this AniMoog part for this track, to see the below video. Maestro is playing the same app for his number one album of the year! One one video you can see the iPad on the right, green-ish look of AniMoog. Incredible musician, never stops experimenting, brilliant collabs this time, and love all the video support he provided for the Electronica 1: The Time Machine.

The cover art is a fragment of Claude Monet "Water Lilies", 1920s. I took the photo earlier this year, in Museum of Modern Art in New York. I noticed and specifically took a shot of "THE EYES" I saw (se them in right lower corner?), thinking to make use of this finding sometime. Cannot be better than to illustrate the Mrinal's and my thinking, behind "The Dark Shadows - The Symphony Of Keys". It took me some very pleasant time to make the edit. Thank you for the great collab Maestro TCM Undeground! Is there Undeground in Classical? Yup, there is :)

Thank you ALL for the support this year and have very Happy Holidays! :D

Musically Yours.
