EP87 of Cut Me Some Slack features siblings in bands. As well as some pretty good tunes from The Beach Boys, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Cowboy Junkies, and Heart we also take a look at some other well-known examples of brothers/sisters in bands together.
Kicking off the show we look at the forthcoming (blink and you'll miss it though) movie 'Love and Mercy' which chronicles the genial work of Brian Wilson. From there, we move on to two brothers who (in the press at least) couldn't stand to be around each other but did pretty well making a living out of it. Not Oasis, but the most excellent The Jesus & Mary Chain (who also covered Surfin' USA)...
The second half of the show has a couple of great tracks from Cowboy Junkies, as well as how they got started, their non-musical family up-bringing, and where their 'Blue Moon Revisted' song originated from. Closing the show was Heart's 'Barracuda' which rounds things off nicely. Enjoy the show.
