Episode 84 feature's a couple of my favourite albums of the year so far and a cracker from Johnson and Daltrey that was released in 2014.
The theme we went with was 'that retro sound', so think more rock'n'roll and blues kinda thing.
We open the show with a "What band's were called before they made it?" pop quiz and find out why they are called 'Houndmouth'. There's also some chat on the band's influences. Really enjoying listening to them and well worth checking out.
JD McPherson was on next and we featured a couple of tracks from his 'Let The Good TImes Roll' album - another artist well worth checking out. We go on to talk about how great Eddie Cochrane was, why rock'n'roll will never go out of fashion, and why you should listen to 'Daptone Records'.
Closing the show was a great song from Wilko Johnson and Roger Daltrey's 'Going Back Home' album. Great stuff!
