If I said I had an item I would sell to you for $1,000, would you say that's too expensive? Well, you would you it depends on what the item is. If it's one chocolate bar, you laugh at how ridiculous the price is. If it's a brand new Mercedes, you jump on that deal...even if you have to sell off some other items...liquidate your assets to have the cash for the exchange. Why? Because the value outweighs the cost. If I said participation in the life of God's Kingdom is costly (demanding you to sell off your previous valuables like your own status, wealth, control, moral standards, time management, etc.), would you say that sounds too expensive? Depends on what value you place on the Kingdom. We explore 2 of Jesus's parables about KINGDOM VALUE in Matthew 13, looking at the Kingdom as A FIELD OF BURIED TREASURES and as THE PEARL OF GREAT PRICE.
