"Baptism saves us" (1 Pet. 3:21)? Really? If the Bible clearly teaches that we cannot earn salvation through works, then what could a "ritual" such as baptism have to do with salvation? But what if baptism goes beyond ritual...perhaps it's more than an "outer sign of an inner grace"...what if something supernatural actually happens in that watery grave? What if that's where Jesus meets me? And what if baptism is not a work of righteousness at all?...At least on my part.......We explore 3 clauses in 1 Peter 3:21 that clarify how baptism is connected to salvation by faith.
