Santa Clarita real estate at a discount, is there something to be concerned about? There is when you have a Realtor, one that is not from our Santa Clarita Valley(less accountability), we see the agents that work and are top producers in the SCV Cities, they are easier to call on the carpet when they screw up or are attempting to pull one over on those wanting to buy and sell real estate locally. No these two agents are not from our neck of the woods and are pricing two homes, one in Valencia CA and the other in Castaic somewhere between 150 and 200k less than fair market value. If they were local (known), you can bet I'd be one of the first inline telling them they were misleading the buyers of the world and taking unfair advantage of the short sale rules potentially causing their sellers harm. With short sales "terms and prices" are all dependent on the bank approving them. They are falling back on this particular disclaimer. Get your own realtor, they will explain this to you.
