This course will focus on the Mahayana Buddhist view of the path to happiness for oneself and others. The sessions will be in a workshop format allowing participants to share ideas and ask questions. No prior Worldview classes are required.
Mahayana means great vehicle because the goal of practitioners of this form of Buddhism is to help everyone reach freedom from suffering life. Along with the ethics, meditation and application of the truth of existence common to all Buddhist traditions, this vehicle also teaches the development of great compassion, generosity, patience and joyful effort.
Mahayana Buddhism is a major religion in northern Asian countries and continues to grow in Europe and the United States.
