Kathleen Fleming - Make a Wish ListAround this time of the year, you may be writing a wish list to your family or even Santa. However, as Christians we should write down a list of all the things you want to happen for your future. Whether it's your personal progression, your family's or even your church's progression. Pray to God that he unleashes the prosperity in your life that you long for! Speak it into existence and take action upon the goals and milestones you wish to accomplish!
Tom Wickersham - Take Up Your Cross Matthew 16:24-26
Take Up Your Cross and Follow Jesus
When Jesus asks of us to take up the cross He means that we need to be willing to die in order to follow Jesus. This is called “dying to self.” It’s a call to absolute surrender
24 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25 For whoever would save his life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. 26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?
Beth Schmid - Rest in PeaceBeth talks of the how she has perceived from God that this is a year of rest and replenishment. As circumstances come at us daily we are to give all of our stress unto God and to trust in Him and focus on the word having a reaction of peace toward all situations.
To add some fun to the message she then interacts with the audience by playing a game of Family Feud as FBWC Feud were she asks them to name off 7 most stressful life events.
Overall. if you will find your word meditate on it and put it front and center in your life then this year will be a year you will rest in peace.
Will Bridges - Missions SermonIn this sermon Missionary Will Bridges talks of his work for God and the many places he is carrying the Word of God. Places such as Ecuador, Peru, Mexico and Guatemala. Carolyn - Walking in LoveWalking in love is a constant judgment of yourself. God loves us so much He sent His Son to die for our sins and for our healing. We don't have to get proof from God we just have to believe and hang on to what we know as Christians. Since Jesus died for our sins and since God forgave us we have to forgive ourselves. We cant love ourselves if we haven't forgiven ourselves and you can't forgive anyone else until you have forgiven yourself.
Tom Wiclersham - Judgement or MercyIf you are without sin the cast the first stone.
Matthew Ch. 18:
John 8:1-11New International Version (NIV)
1 but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
2 At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
Tom Wickersham - Joy is the Barometer of Your FaithWhen you are following the spirit of God and he leads you to do something count it as an opportunity toward spiritual growth of your faith. If you fall into trials count it all joy knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
Tom Wickersham - Thanksgiving ServiceTom Wickersham speaks of the Origin and history of Thanksgiving and how Squanto and patuxet taught the pilgrims to grow corn. They later went on a fowling which is the hunting of wildfowl including a turkey. God prepared the communication between the native americans and the pilgrims. Had there been a language barrier history may have not unfolded the same as we know it to be. Thanksgiving is an expression of God's omnipotence, goodness, perfection and His love toward His people.
6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.
Prayer is a ResponsibilityPrayer is more than a privilege, it's a responsibility. We need to come to the father to commune and fellowship through prayer to help guide us through situations and decisions whether it is personal or regarding our nation.
Tom Wickersham - Putting the First Things FirstPutting first things first will allow us as christians to reap the benefits of our prayers to God. Whatever the problem may be, God will help you find the solution if you seek Him and become in line with His order of righteousness.
1 Corinthians 12:28
28 And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues.
"Look at the Unseen" - Tom WickershamThere are unfortunate circumstances that we may go through in life, but if you've received Jesus as Lord and savor then you are apart of His Kingdom. Take your battles out of the natural world and into the Spiritual World where God will be at your side to aid you and lead you to victory!
