Hōkū Award-nominee guitarist Shoji Ledward invites bassist Alika Lyman and violinist Duane Padilla to join him at Hawaiʻi Public Radio’s Atherton Studio in an evening they call JazzSpeak. The trio, said to have some of the “biggest ears” in Hawaiʻi’s music business, have been listening closely to each other and having great musical conversations. Now, the public will be able to eavesdrop on their improvisational discourses in a live performance in HPR's intimate recital hall on Saturday, January 24, 2015. The conversation starters will be songs penned by Ledward inspired by events in his life and featured in his upcoming CD Saudade.
