The Oku Community Radio (OCR) is a non-profit broadcasting house founded in 1997 with mission to promote development in rural and indigenous communities.
Strategically, the Oku Community Radio is received in enclave communities that make up more than 60% of the regional population of over 1,480,000 inhabitants typically because of its strategic position. The airwaves are received in the Federal Republic of Nigeria specifically in the Adamawa and Cross River States. It covers a cross section of communities including the dominant indigenous nomad tribes in the enclave communities of this region. The transmission potential of the station is boosted because of its strategic elevation.
