Moonjam, Danish pop group formed in 1985 by brothers Morten Kærså (b. 1957), keyboards and vocals, Rasmus Kærså (b. 1960), bass, and Mads Kærså (b. 1964), drums, and saxophonist Jens Haack (b. 1955) . The debut album Morten Kærså and Moonjam (1987) showed the group's strength in particular instrumentals. The commercial breakthrough came with Behind the Blue Mountains (1990) and Songs for Saxophone (1992). Most compositions are created by Morten Kærså who have extensive contact with Danish rock music, including for Sneakers and Sebastian, and deliberately seek to frame a broad audience. Moonjam has toured the East, contributed to children's records and the musicals, including Sarai (1985) and Aladdin (1995) and composed and recorded film scores (flambéed hearts, 1988) and the Danish jingle, Salsa Olympia to the Olympic Games in 1992.
