On this edition of Bring Your Own Discussion Topic we had perhaps the most seemingly choreographed edition, with all the chosen topics of conversation flowing nicely from one to the other, despite none of it being prepared beforehand.
Jay Cluitt was joined by Rebecca Sharp, Daniel Lackey and Todd Liebenow to discuss what, technically, should be considered a movie, what’s the greatest film of this century so far, which directors are under or over appreciated and Jay’s favourite topic on these kinds of shows, movie lists. If that all sounds a little dry don’t despair, mainly because it isn’t, but also there’s plenty of tangents, non sequiturs and random flights of fancy as well to keep you entertained.
Oh, and if you’re looking for the list Rebecca and Jay were talking about, here it is: http://www.bbc.com/culture/story/20160819-the-21st-centurys-100-greatest-films
Also on tap: Rants and Raves of the Week and a couple of games of Last Lamb Standing.
