Season 6, Episode 93 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this Friday show, David Todd is back in the co-host chair and he and I recap all of the recent Pittsburgh Steelers free agent news that has taken place since Monday.
David and I begin by talking about the signing of free agent tackle Ryan Harris by the Steelers after they first showed interest in tackle Russell Okung over the weekend. We discuss whether or not the Steelers really made Okung an offer and what kind of player Harris is.
The Steelers have now lost five of their own unrestricted free agents as of Friday as tackle Kelvin Beachum, nose tackle Steve McLendon, cornerback Antwon Blake, linebacker Sean Spence and linebacker Terence Garvin have now all signed with other teams. We talk about how the loss of each player affects the Steelers.
The Steelers showed a lot of interest in Baylor nose tackle Andrew Billings at his recent pro day so David and I discuss that in addition to a few free agents the team may or may not have future interest in.
My latest mock draft was released on Thursday so David and I close out this Friday show by talking about that and whether or not the Steelers will again address the quarterback and wide receiver position in this year’s draft.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here in this post.
