The 2016 Grand National will have a 5.15pm start time, the latest in the history of the race.
Aintree have decided to push the race back an hour in the hope of broadening its worldwide appeal and boosting its audience figures.
The news comes as talks go on with the race sponsors Crabbie's, whose current deal ends next April.
