On today’s Football Weekly, AC Jimbo is joined by Iain Macintosh, Barry Glendenning and Un’appy ’Ammer fan Jacob Steinberg to look back on a weekend of ups and downs in the Premier League.
We begin at the London Stadium where West Ham got stuffed 3-0 by Southampton and are settling in for a long old slog of a season. Still, they could be Sunderland.
Next, we congratulate on Arsenal brushing aside a woefully creaking Chelsea side, and praise José Mourinho for dropping Wayne Rooney and therefore injecting his Manchester United side play with some spunk as they swatted aside Leicester 4-1. Whoddathunkit?
Finally, we assess the half-time entertainment in the Championship, and get moderately excited for the week’s Champions League ties, including City heading to Celtic, goal-tastic Dortmund hosting Real Madrid and Tottenham traveling to CSKA Moscow.
Remember, tickets are now on general sale to see your Football Weekly pals at the London Palladium on Tuesday 15 November. Do it
