Very happy to be back here with a very popular Rabindra Sangeet originally sung by all the stalwarts of RS including Kishore Kumar & KL Saigal. Though I am not in the fittest physical form to sing a KKji song now, but as a singing request came from our beloved & respected Naqvi Saab, I could not ignore it and recorded it today with cold filled nose and breath lacked chest.
Kishore Kumar's Rabindra Sangeet means lots of long sustains with flawless vibratos and as I was listening my song I was thinking how beautiful it would be if Naqvi Saab sings such songs.
I shall try the bangla version when apt confidence will be gathered.

Song: (Ami Tomay Jato Suniye chilem gaan)
Maine Tumko Jitne Sunaya tha Mere Gaan
Lyrics: Rabindra Nath Tagore
Orchestration: Hemant Kumar

Hindi Lyrics:

Maine tumko jitne sunaya tha mere gaan
[For all my songs that I made you listen]

Uske badle mein maine manga nahi koi daan
[I never asked for any alm in return]
---------------------------------------------

bhulna chaho yadi, kiun na bhul jao sare
[If you want to forget it, why don't you do that]

khilega jab sitara sandhya sagar kinare
[when stars appear at the ocean side in the evening?]

Tumhara mehfil se jab karenge maha-prasthan
[When my life will end in your concert]

Issi do-char dino ka raha issi do-char gaan
[these few songs will remain there from these few days]
----------------------------------------------

Tumhara gaana bhi bahut sunaya tha tum kabse
[YOU also Thy made me listen Your songs]

Ye sari batein tum bhul jaoge kaise (ogo)
[How will You forget this, my Lord?]

Ye sari batein Kabi sayad yaad karoge
[Great Poet, probably You will remember this]

Barsat ki raat mein ya basant jab khiloge
[on some rainy night or when Spring comes]

Ye hi ek chotasa rahe gaya abhimaan
[Only this small regret remains,]

Kaise bhul sakte ho, bhulaya tha mujhe gaan
[how can You forget that you made me forget/stop my songs]
