COFFEESHOWER is a punk rock band that was formed in late 1999 by two college students Pier and Eddie in the city of L’Aquila, 100 km north-east from Rome. They made a pretty original use of the punk-rock ingredients from the start which let them be known as one of the most interesting acts around, compared to the thousands of 90’s core oriented bands from
the local scene at that time. Their critically acclaimed 5-track self-released debut ("A Product For The Youth Development", 2001) was sold out in few months. During the legendary DIY years they toured Italy and Europe, appearing at festivals and playing with bands like Misconduct, Gamits, Punkreas, Beerbong and many others. In 2004 Nh-N Records released the split-cd “Split by Sideâ€, featuring Coffeeshower together with the Dutch hardcore band Dependent. They toured Holland with Dependent and then Italy again with Belvedere. In 2005 the guitarist Eddie left the band. After another great German tour as a trio they stopped their touring activity for a while and locked themselves in their practice space writing a bunch of new astonishing songs that caught the band in the act of growing up. After releasing the single “Black Tie†the time came for touring again with a new guitarist on board. Despite being unsigned for years they managed to play many shows, also appearing at big festivals (such as Taste Of Chaos in 2006 sharing the main stage with bands like Taking Back Sunday, Anti-Flag, Underoath, Saosin and Senses Fail) until their last show with Chuck Ragan before the April 2009 earthquake that hit their hometown. Nevertheless they managed to pull off their long awaited album “Kicking A Medicine Ball†that was released on Indelirium Records (www.indeliriumrecords.com). In October 2013 Indelirium Records released a compilation album entitled “The Glory Years†celebrating their 15-year career. After years of tours and concerts (played with Hot Water Music and H2O among the others) in 2014 the band entered the studio again to record their new album “Housesâ€. The album was produced by Daniele Brian Autore (singer for Vanilla Sky) and will be out November 13th for the types of Ammonia Records. The videoclip for the single “Broken Pieces†was directed by Stefano Poletti. On next shows Coffeeshower will play the new album in its entirety. Stay tuned for updates.
