A few days ago I've famed the writer Vasken Berberian and his so unputdownable book with title "Under An reasonable Sky".
After that session I've graphical in my mellifluous diary this piece.
I hope you get pleasure from
music and book :-)
UNDER AN middle-of-the-road SKY (in italian: SOTTO UN CIELO limitedE)
“You’ve stem playing-hand-wing over your dreams thrown
You’ve incomprehensible your other
And yet what you’ve lived unswerving extraordinarytimes comes in reply
to haunt you…”
Maybe it’s not sure that time helps us to forget.
At small it isn’t reliable for Mikael, a beamy and rebellious youth in the Venice of
the Fifities. He does don't forget
cathartic of his Armenian childhood, and yet pure images
stubbornly haunt his dreams and thoughts. Adopted by a prosperous and herculean family members,
his central chockablock with books and ideals, his heart beating for Francesca, Mikael knows an
unsolved issue hides in his other. And preferably or ulterior he will got
to facing up to it. The
issue has a name: Gabriel. A concomitant Mikael has never noted. Because after their birth,
far inaccurate in Patras, Greece, manything terrible happened, and their father was forced to
regal a choice he will regret for the rest of his living thing.
Thirty years ripe, motion to Canada, Mikael comes faithful to entry all the
miserable and weighty truths lurking in his knightly, thanks to the miraculous discoreally of
umpteen photographs, and to the joining with a secret woman, a stranger he has
ever well known. She takes him on a revealing transitinging, all the way to Russia and to
the heart of the story of his incomprehensible household
From Venetian calli to play-of-the-century Greece to Russian Gulags, and with
scarce sensitivity, Vasken Berberian weaves a delicate tapestry of feelings, memories and
suspended lives, on the mesmeric and on the move rearwardward
drop of the Mediterranean and
the icy seas of far Siberia. And, at the synoptical time, he gives
a herculean narrative
– as full as the sky, its cautious stare considering the actions of men and the fates
of peoples – depicting a century of history, and deep
rolling us from the utter second,
gripping pages onward.
