+++ Title: "When God's Purpose is a Baby"
+++ Speaker: Steve Wilber
+++ Date: 12-01-1985, Sunday morning meeting
+++ Venue: Pinecrest Bible Church

--- Steve tells us that he'll be speaking about four areas of Moses' life, mainly from Ex. 2.

--- 4 min - "The contagion of the faith" - When Stephen "died of Christianity", Saul caught the virus.

--- 20 min - How would you like to become captain of your own boat at three months of age?

--- 24 - Prophets .... the recurring theme in their lives is "ALONE". There are times when you aren't allowed too close to God's developing purpose. God is jealous of it.

--- - - a nourishing solitude
--- - - a necessary silence in order to become a conduit of God's voice.

--- 26 - You don't need any more power of expression (in order to be prophetic) than you have right now. Moses cried as a baby and Pharaoh's daughter wept; she was stirred to the depths.

--- 29 - Moses gave the ten commandments. Steve says that he's here to give us the ten suggestions.

--- 30 - You can't teach everything you know; you can only teach what's been BURNED into you through experience.

--- 35 - Moses went out and looked on his brethren's BURDENS. He endeavored to act as "a prince and a judge", but it didn't work because he tried to enter his calling too soon. There is a time in God. Every seed has an internal clock within. God won't let you miss that bell.

--- 45 - God gave Moses one good friend. "What's this? What did you say your name was (Jethro)? "Friend of God"????"

- - The spirituality of Follette and Buettler's disciples.

- - All the BEST THINGS come to you through the friends of God! Moses was CONTENT to dwell with Jethro.

--- 52 - Steve's description of his wife's "culinary cannonballs".

--- 54 - In a sense, the SHEEP were leading Moses.

--- 58 - Steve finishes and Tom Worth comments.

--- 59 - Song "All Hail King Jesus, All Hail Emmanuel".
