On April 3, the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation hosted a book talk with Melissa Williams, Professor of Political Science, and founding Director of the Centre for Ethics at the University of Toronto, Senior Visiting Scholar at the Harvard Kennedy School. Professor Williams is co-Editor of â€œEast Asian Perspectives on Political Legitimacy: Bridging the Empirical-Normative Divide." Responding to her remarks was Tongdong Bai, the Dongfang Chair Professor of Philosophy at Fudan University in China and Berggruen Fellow at Harvard's Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics. Archon Fung, Academic Dean and Ford Foundation Professor of Democracy and Citizenship, HKS, moderated.
