90s Mabua was born on November1,1992 in Surulere, a residential and commercial area of Lagos. “90′s Mabua” picked up his interest for music as a child, but didn’t take music seriously until he was in his early teens. He explained in an interview, “I started writing songs in my head, and it took my interest in music to another level. I had to drum beats up with my fist on the table so I could cut music to the ideas I heard in my head.” Going through what he calls, “the typical post-high school lifestyle.” “I wasn’t interested in anything I was doing other than music, and I loved the wide-openness of my life.”
Stepping onto Nigeria’s musical landscape, he didn’t know what to expect, but with his versatile style and funky grove he created a niche for himself. Music was always a part of him, the desire to sing came to him carving out a permanent place in his soul. In his words “I preferred singing to talking, because I was better at expressing myself that way.” He recorded a couple of songs earlier with “Point Beats” in Surulere, studio of one of the pioneers of musical productions in Nigeria, “OJB Jazreel”, which he promoted solely, and performed the tracks in Carnivals and other occasions in the neighboring communities. As his name grew in and around the Surulere and Bariga areas, the pieces began to fall into place for “90′s Mabua”. He was contracted to record a jingle during the 2011 elections by “Chief Mrs. Bola
Atitebi”, the track sparked major interests and was part of the campaign songs for the 2011 elections.
“90′s Mabua” has got a spanking hot single “Shalala Ft. Wizkid”, and presently has worked with and has several affiliation with other renown artists, DJ’s and producers with the likes of “H-man”, “OJB Jazrael”, “Lady DJ Mystelle”, “DJ Kolabo”, “Akeem D’ Dream”, “Wizkid”, “Click beat(mix)”, “G-piano”, ” DJ humility”, to mention but a few, in and around the State and is at the verge of taking over the entire Nigerian and International Entertainment industry.
