Tom B.‘s seductive “Lovely Matilda” is the seventh liberation forthfuture from the Fukai label, backed with two remixes by Teutonic
new school heroes Marcapasos and Ron Flatter Remix.
“Lovely Matilda” sees Leipzig based Tom B. at his simpleest, with a dull aflare canorous groove characterised by a fat lowline and funk-imbued percussion. With no truculent edges, it’s a tune that provides warmth and paired with umpteen ingenious earsplitting snippets, makes for a glowing perception and lively experience.
The Marcapasos remix retains a lot of the underived politic qualities, but the additional layers of melody are additional exhibitionist and the plumpingline has been reworked. The drops are a bit further spectacular and goodly. All composed, Marcapasos’ respectful additions generate an constituent counterpart to the introductory.
Ron Flatter closes the EP with a forward remix cut. shouted snippets and a distinctly Garage use of melodies sit alongside a swing groove even though
little contralto adds respectable weight. Incredibly swankheaded booming, it’s a typical appressed to an already self-contained EP.
Fukai implementation ‘artful’ in Japanese and four tone endings in, the label is staying dead on target to its MO at the idempotent time as offering up a dandyish pick of carefully hand picked remixers that add plenty to from every one package.
