County Players was born in 1958.
Now, more than half a century later, we are proud to present our 59th season. During our lifetime, we have presented over 200 productions and have served thousands of theatregoers who continue to reward our efforts with their loyal attendance. Clearly, they share our belief that we provide excellent theatre. In 1977, we acquired the old Academy Theatre in the Village of Wappingers Falls, and through countless hours of volunteer efforts, we have turned a crumbling relic into a living theatre – The County Players Falls Theatre. We paid off our mortgage, continue to make improvements to our building, and still manage to keep our prices at an affordable level. Our promise for the future is to continue on the path of fiscal responsibility, theatrical improvement, and entertainment!

Mission
To delight, educate, and challenge the community and to nurture creative expression, through theatre and the performing arts of the highest quality.

County Players is currently not wheelchair accessible. There is no staff to assist with a lift. There is a short flight of stairs from the street into the lobby and two small flights of stairs from the lobby into the theatre.

County Players-Laughter on the 23rd Floor - WKZE September 9, 10, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 2016 By Neil Simon Directed by Michael J. Frohnhoefer Neil Simon takes us back to the golden age of television, circa 1953, and behind the scenes of the hottest program on the air, The Max Prince Show. Simon’s side-splitting comedy follows the antics of the show’s star Max Prince, his on-going battles with the Network executives, and the writing, fighting, and wacky antics that take place in the writers’ room of his weekly variety show. The play was inspired by Simon’s real-life experiences while working on Sid Caesar’s hit television program, Your Show Of Shows. “Laughter on the 23rd Floor” contains strong language and may not be suitable for young audience members.
