Some of you know that I've had experience with clinical anxiety. And probably close to half of you have experienced real anxiety on some level - either panic attacks, General Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Phobias, Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), or maybe even Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The other half of you deal with stress and its effects on the brain and the body as well. I know this is a longer sermon, but I wanted to share some of my own story...look at 2 practical "anxiety texts" from Matthew 6 and Philippians 4...and close with 10 suggestions for dealing with stress and combating anxiety. Know that you're not alone. You have a fellow sufferer here. But as in all things, God's grace is sufficient for us. There is hope. There is light.
