This is one of my favorite song from a Pakistani Platinum Jubilee film Chakori that was released in Dhaka, then East Pakistan in 1967. Almost all of its 8 songs became very popular. Just last week on 13 Feb 2016 its music composer Robin Ghosh passed away. His music was simple and decent. Also, recently Giri Ji had requested me to upload a Pakistani song from my earlier shares with friends. I had first covered this song in 2011 and uploaded on eSnips. Giri Bhai you may have never heard this from me before but I am sure you will like it very much. I have re-sung it.

I am uploading this cover in remembrance of Robin Ghosh. I hope friends enjoy this song. I have tried to write a word to word translation to give listeners an idea.

Original Singer: Mujeeb Aalam
Music Director: Robin Ghosh
Lyricist: Akhtar Yousuf
Film: Chakori (1967)

In front of me, she is sitting like a portrait
For each of my dream, she is sitting like an interpretation

If Moons sees these (her) eyes, it will become a Lotus flower
If night touches these (her) lips, it will become a Ghazal
Don't ask about her long hair
Don't ask me of my opinion
She is sitting like a tangled chain

When she goes distant (from me), the shine in (my) eyes go away too
When she comes near, every breath becomes fragrant
Few moments I spend with her
Otherwise I remain sad
She is sitting like the fate of my heart's desires
